A Fringe Quickie (#187) with ‘Taiwan Season: Proximities’

Questions answered by Eartha LIU.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

We made a show about closeness, so naturally we’ll be standing alarmingly close to strangers on the Royal Mile while handing out flyers. Marketing or performance art? We’re not sure. Either way, we’ll be pretending not to refresh the ticket sales page every 15 minutes.

Q2: If your show walked into a cocktail bar, what would it order?

A Long Distance Relationship: half French, half Southeast Asian, developed in Taiwan, served in Edinburgh, and surprisingly intimate after a few sips.

Q3: If all the shows running right now were at a massive Fringe house party, what is your show doing?

Sitting on the kitchen floor at 2am having an unexpectedly deep conversation with a complete stranger.

Q4: How will the audience remember you the morning after?

Like someone they met briefly but can’t quite stop thinking about.
