A Fringe Quickie (#93) with ‘Heated Rivalry: The Musical Parody!’

Questions answered by Rob Warner.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

We will literally show butts for tickets! No, butt seriously that’s not a bad idea…maybe if you buy a ticket someone from the show will show you their butt?? The show’s about hockey butts so that feels reasonable. With consent. And no children. That’s weird. And illegal.

Q2: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?

Not showing ENOUGH butt. Like it’s a show about gay butts in hockey and the tv show is known for its butts so honestly they’re right to cancel us. We show butt, but we could always be showing more. And frankly it’s time we had that dialogue. Stop NOT talking about butts!!!

Q3: If all the shows running right now were at a massive Fringe house party, what is your show doing?

Taking turns making out with each other while trying to hide the fact that everyone’s gay. Like everyone. They don’t think they’re gay but they are. Even the allies. That’s part of being an ally. Being gay. Being an ally means being gay I don’t make the rules.

Q4: How will the audience remember you the morning after?

“That show was too horny! Haha, no but actually, want to kiss?” That’s what they all say and they literally start kissing it’s well documented. Friends, neighbors, lovers, exes, straight people turned gay, etc. Everyone kisses.
