A Fringe Quickie (#178) with ‘Jungled’

Questions answered by Eva Peroni.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

I’m thinking of going on a really laddish comedy podcast and marketing my show as the first ever anti-woke comedy show from a female “comedian”. It would need to be an audio-only podcast though lest my masc lesbian appearance give it away.

Q2: If your show walked into a cocktail bar, what would it order?

Well obviously she would need to have her ID with her to even get served, because she’s SO young, but given the bartender isn’t too distracted by the presence of the funniest, youngest comedy show ever… she would probably get overwhelmed and order whatever IPA is on draught.

Q3: The Fringe is horribly expensive. How are you financing this run? Did you remortgage your house, sell your granny, or start an illicit side hustle?

I’m lucky enough to have full funding from Red Bull which comes catch free. On an unrelated note I’ll be taking a lap around Edinburgh every day in my Red Bull car playing the song Wings by Little Mix at full volume, oh and a one-off tightrope walk from Teviot to Appleton Tower.

Q4: How will the audience remember you the morning after?

They’ll be waking up super hungover because we’ll be crushing beers after the show but I think they’ll remember me as a kinda impish wee guy who can go from serious to stupid frighteningly quickly. They’ll remember me really fondly, until they realise I’ve stolen their wallet.
