A Fringe Quickie (#147) with ‘A Better Memory’

Questions answered by Ihsan Kerr.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

We’ll ask audience members for their Instagram handles, train an AI on their posts, then the audience can meet themselves after the show, to discuss their happiest memories. Totally normal marketing. Not creepy at all.

Q2: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?

Emotional manipulation of the elderly, unauthorised resurrection of dead husbands, and absolutely shocking dad jokes.

Q3: If all the shows running right now were at a massive Fringe house party, what is your show doing?

The guy who’s high in the corner asking ridiculous but strangely insightful questions that all start with, “Wouldn’t it be crazy if…?” Yes. Yes, it would.

Q4: How will the audience remember you the morning after?

Like a fond distant memory, one they can keep returning to. Funny and bittersweet. They’ll always be wondering if it really happened.
