Questions answered by Theiya Arts.
Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars
Standing outside the venue with the haunted eyes of a woman who has explained patriarchy, motherhood and ticket links too many times. Also: postcards, guilt, WhatsApp aunties, and calling it “research dissemination” when we panic-post.
Q2: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?
It let women be complicated in public. It touched motherhood, desire, shame, caste, race, medicine and patriarchy without offering everyone a neat little healing arc. Worst of all, it asked the audience to think.
Q3: We all have weird pre-performance rituals. What is yours, and how confused would a normal person be if they walked in on you doing it?
We rage-bait ourselves into performance mode with Dean Withers debating 20 MAGA women, tradwife reels and manosphere posts. A normal person would call it doomscrolling. We call it research, warm-up and feminist cardio.
Q4: If all the shows running right now were at a massive Fringe house party, what is your show doing?
Our show is in the kitchen, ruining everyone’s flirtation with a casual feminist analysis. It brought postcards, rage, jokes, and one very specific question that makes the whole party suddenly need another drink.
