A Fringe Quickie (#286) with ‘Out of the Box’

Questions answered by Darryl J Carrington.

Q1: If you could take just one record with you to survive the Fringe — your ultimate comfort, hype, or grounding track — what would it be, and why?

Fred Again’s new album – ten days. its a perfect mix of relaxing, uplifting and grounding. A perfect companion to the frantic energy of the Fringe, it’s a really beautiful album.

Q2: What moment in your show would your grandma absolutely hate (or absolutely love)?

The stage starts lovely and clean, and then a circus erupts from the box leaving absolute chaos on the stage! she loved having a tidy house, and I was always making a mess!

Q3: Is your show the type to leave a toothbrush — or just some wild memories and a dent in the pillow?

My show would leave an absolute pile of toothbrushes, and a real sense of achievement after many, many failed attempts.

Q4: If your show walked into a bar, what would it order?

A virgin bloody mary, I don’t drink alcohol, but just like the show you don’t have to be drunk to enjoy it, everyone’s welcome. but it is wholesome (celery / tomato juice), its got a unique flavour to it (Worcestershire sauce), and it makes me sweat!! A lot!! (Tobasco)
