Questions answered by Noah Xavier.
Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars
We have made homemade placards out of recycled cardboard and wood to take out flyering on the mile!! We did consider throwing bricks at people until they bought a ticket but decided that was a little too unethical.
Q2: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?
There is so much swearing that when my German family came to see one of the previews, the first thing my uncle said was ‘You know so many angry words I did not know’.
Q3: We all have weird pre-performance rituals. What is yours, and how confused would a normal person be if they walked in on you doing it?
I have to walk all of the floor in the space – backstage, seating, sometimes even the lighting box if i’m feeling extra stressed! Pacing like an insane person really gets me into the vibe of the show, I’m like Marlon Brando if he was doing a 50 seater to 3 people.
Q4: How will the audience remember you the morning after?
Hopefully it makes them think about the ways they can make change in their worlds, through activism or community oriented help! (Also they will say ‘omg this show was awesome i’m going to recommend it to one million friends)
