A Fringe Quickie (#280) with ‘Little Pink Dress’

Questions answered by Joey Jennings.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

Honestly, I have no idea. I’m terrible at selling myself. I hate social media & find marketing the most painful part of this process. I just want the show & music to speak for themselves. But it’s 2026, so I know promoting your work gets people through the door.

Q2: If your show walked into a cocktail bar, what would it order?

A few soda waters with lime, but I’ll be sneaking in my own flask with shitty vodka and pouring doubles until I’m blackout.

Q3: The Fringe is horribly expensive. How are you financing this run? Did you remortgage your house, sell your granny, or start an illicit side hustle?

I’ve spent the last six years working in production for fashion advertising with this show in mind, saving every penny along the way. Between making the record and taking the show to Fringe, my bank account may be drained, but my spirits have never been higher.

Q4: All shows will have their tough days. What sophisticated self-care strategies will you employ to survive?

Long walks, vacant stares into the void, and silence.
