A Fringe Quickie (#276) with ‘Eve & Adam’

Questions answered by Genevieve Goodman.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

3 key things: FLYERING! We have a phenomenal poster. Even my straight boyfriend with zero taste looked at it and said, “Damn, I know ai didn’t do that.” SOCIAL MEDIA! Self-explanatory. The power of social rivals the power of God. & PUTTING MY 20-YEAR OLD SISTER TO WORK.

Q2: If your show walked into a cocktail bar, what would it order?

Obviously an Appletini…But just to throw it in your face. No real reason, you just looked a little snakey.

Q3: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?

Baby, we invented cancel culture. We’re sacrilegious, pro-Original sin, and feminists-since some men consider that a cancellable offense. We convinced Adam to eat the Apple, questioned authority, and spoke to God to say, “the Bible is REALLY poorly written. Rewrites needed.”

Q4: How will the audience remember you the morning after?

It’s like going to Catholic school for the most formative years of your life, then returning to normal schooling. You’ll think, “Huh, that was weird.” But ultimately, it’ll set thoughts in motion like, “Maybe Eve was misunderstood, like Katherine Heigl.”
