Years ago I got the review “a good show to take your granny to”. Now I will play that card again. My show’s about a most famous granny, witty and wise, and is performed by me, a granny. I will shout out to senior citizens everywhere!
Q2: If your show walked into a cocktail bar, what would it order?
A pot of tea and a piece of seed cake
Q3: The Fringe is horribly expensive. How are you financing this run? Did you remortgage your house, sell your granny, or start an illicit side hustle?
When you are 82 and on the Fringe, it’s quite right and proper to throw your life’s savings at it. If not now, when?
Q4: All shows will have their tough days. What sophisticated self-care strategies will you employ to survive?
I’d get up Arthur’s seat (maybe not to the very top) and breathe in the sky and the view. A pot of tea and a piece of seed cake wouldn’t go amiss but any small picnic is just fine.
