A Fringe Quickie (#103) with ‘Michelle Shocked: Bootleg This!’

Questions answered by Michelle Shocked.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

I plan to paint the entire town chrome. I’ll bet you didn’t know they make spray chalk in chrome! Also: limited-edition chrome totebags for swag.

Q2: If your show walked into a cocktail bar, what would it order?

Templeton Rye. Simples.

Q3: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?

Ha! Good one! My show is a born-again, spirit-filled, fire-baptized sinner, but ain’t we all? My show is a Christian, and is not now, nor has ever been, a homophobe or a closet lesbian.

Q4: The Fringe is horribly expensive. How are you financing this run? Did you remortgage your house, sell your granny, or start an illicit side hustle?

156 people entrusted me with their hard-earned filthy lucre to fund a successful Kickstarter campaign to raise over $15,000. The fools! Also, I have awesome producers backing this venture. We believe this thing has legs.
