A Fringe Quickie (#561) with ‘CIRCLE’

Questions answered by Suzanne Bachner.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

I plan not to get desperate. We still do have some leftover promo condoms from the last time we did CIRCLE, but it would be unethical to hand them out because I think they expired.

Q2: If your show walked into a cocktail bar, what would it order?

Sex on the beach in the form of bottomless jello shots.

Q3: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?

Our show is going on the offensive and doing the canceling: Sin 1: Schnitzler’s Reigen (aka La Ronde) reimagined exclusively by straight cis economically advantaged men. This show’s very existence is due to this cancellation, and it’s about time.

Q4: How will the audience remember you the morning after?

Either they completely experienced our show viscerally, thoroughly, and in the moment, and are now free from other preoccupations, or they are inspired to start connecting and communicating with their partner, and it saves their marriage. Both have happened numerous times.
