A Fringe Quickie (#388) with ‘Parasocial Activity’

Questions answered by Briony Martha.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

We may or may not have purchased a life size cut out of James McAvoy that we plan on parading up and down the mile during flyering in August. Want a selfie wae oor James? BUY A TICKET!

Q2: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?

Hmmm… Promoting adultery, taking a lenient stance on stalking, oh and romanticising the idea of tasering a dog. (Sorry!) The things you do for love, eh!

Q3: If all the shows running right now were at a massive Fringe house party, what is your show doing?

My show is one hundred percent going round to every single member of that party and showing them pictures of her super hot celebrity boyfriend James McAvoy. Aren’t they so cute together! She’s definitely then found crying in the bathroom after someone says they don’t believe her.

Q4: How will the audience remember you the morning after?

I’ll probably have made you laugh a bit which is nice, but you’ll also probably be a little worried about me and make all of your social media accounts private.
