A Fringe Quickie (#367) with ‘Burce Tutku Tuncali: Perfectly Imperfeckt!’

Questions answered by Burce Tutku Tuncali.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

I’ll be on the streets armed with flyers, charm and questionable level of optimism. If we cross paths, I’ll love bomb you into coming to my show. I’ll do viral TikTok dances & make videos relating to edfringe Make sure to follow for this shitshow @burcetutkutuncali !

Q2: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?

When cancel culture sees my show, unlike me, it’ll know that all the red flags of HR recruiters, dating apps and emotionally unavailable men have finally united. They’re definitely not carnival flags! My show is basically the ultimate hub for the cancelled ones.

Q3: All shows will have their tough days. What sophisticated self-care strategies will you employ to survive?

My sophisticated strategy: go back to my room where my (stuffed) support animal is. Then, I’ll watch a serial killer documentary to truly relax, while eating shortbread and sipping peppermint tea. Just straight up eating my emotions. Peak mental health gurus will understand.

Q4: How will the audience remember you the morning after?

They’ll wake up thinking, “Wow, we saw that girl in her early stages before her tickets got too expensive!” And hopefully they’ll look at dating apps through a brand-new filter: “Okay, let’s avoid those specifics!” A public service, really.
