A Fringe Quickie (#20) with ‘(No) Refunds’

Questions answered by Katy Murphy.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

Other than offering a full refund to one person every show??? I plan to text every one of my contacts: high school situationships, friends’ exes, my therapist (she’s coming to previews in NYC). When I say every one of my phone contacts, I mean EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

Q2: If your show walked into a cocktail bar, what would it order?

A cosmopolitan with an edible glitter rim (and ideally a maraschino cherry garnish as opposed to the traditional lime, but only if they have it)

Q3: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?

Labor exploitation, and depending on how our Star Player plays, potentially sexual exploitation too… but good luck NABBING us because our waivers are AIR TIGHT!!!

Q4: The Fringe is horribly expensive. How are you financing this run? Did you remortgage your house, sell your granny, or start an illicit side hustle?

At our kickoff fundraising event in NYC, I offered to do an impromptu striptease if the attendees could pool together enough to get us to $10,000. They did. I showed nip.
