Questions answered by Jack Michael Stacey and Matthew Howell.
Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars
Jack: We plan to install a mini Library in the Courtyard. A book exchange for those looking to kill time with some reading before/after our show. Matt: The only “books” available will be copies of our previous hit show SPY MOVIE: THE PLAY! They will cost £10, no refunds.
Q2: If your show walked into a cocktail bar, what would it order?
Jack: A cup of tea. Milk, no sugar. And a custard cream. Matt : Sadly there are no cocktail bars in Plumbstanton. Only a pub where the landlord might be persuaded to make you a vodka lime and soda.
Q3: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?
Whatever the latest fashionable whim of cancellation the public zeitgeist has decided to take offence to that week…. We have a lot of biscuit related content in our show. Can you be cancelled for dunking a hobnob for too long? Probably.
Q4: All shows will have their tough days. What sophisticated self-care strategies will you employ to survive?
Jack: Reading. I’ve got two books on me at all times: So, You Want To Be A Theatre Producer? And Meditation For Dummies. Matt: It’s not sophisticated, however I will employ the classic fringe self-care routine of drinking alcohol on most days.
