Questions answered by Britt Anderson.
Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars
Choose one crowded street each day of Fringe that is sure to have tourists and festival goers. Recruit a bunch of spiders to rapidly make one massive web encasing the crowd on that street. Reel them in towards the Assembly Front Room (my venue).
Q2: If your show suddenly developed a massive ego and became the biggest diva in the 2026 Fringe, what absurd, hyper-specific item would be mandatory on its dressing room rider?
The most expensive wool yarn from the finest sheep in Scotland, hand dyed pink. Must be laid upon silk and prepared for a blessing by me, Athena, the Goddess of Handicrafts.
Q3: If you brought this show home for the holidays, how would your parents react to them?
My parents would offer her a drink and coax her out to the porch with the guise of “showing her the flowers”. Then they would run back inside, lock the door, and pray for her to go away. (Needless to say, my parents will not be seeing this show.)
Q4: How will the audience remember you the morning after?
“I felt dirty then forever cleansed. I laughed, I gasped, I cried. I won’t forget my throuple with Athena / Arachne. I couldn’t if I tried.”
