Questions answered by Tracey Yarad.
Q1: If you could take just one record with you to survive the Fringe — your ultimate comfort, hype, or grounding track — what would it be, and why?
Jon Scofield’s ‘Wabash.’ I can’t do a downward dog with it playing, but the grit, groove, and attitude are perfect for surviving a second Edinburgh run. Who needs calm when you’ve got chaos?
Q2: What’s the temperature of your show?
The temp? Scalding. This show brings all four seasons: the fall into love, the winter of marriage, the storm of betrayal, and the hot-girl summer of starting over. Bring sunscreen — and tissues.
Q3: What’s something your show reveals about you that might surprise a date?
I was in a cult—no sex, drugs, or garlic. Then Kevin Costner gave me the eye all gig long. I stroll over, full of swagger, and say: “Wait… aren’t you one of Dad’s fishing mates?”
Q4: If your show walked into a bar, what would it order?
A stiff whisky for me, and a lemonade for the teenage goddaughter who ran off with my husband. Hold the ice — and if you’ve got a dash of arsenic back there, be generous.
