Questions answered by Sharon Em.
Q1: If you could take just one record with you to survive the Fringe — your ultimate comfort, hype, or grounding track — what would it be, and why?
An album full of 80s power ballads, because nothing is more grounding than shoulder pads, impressive lung capacity and electric blue eyeshadow. Its makes you realize that the past, including your own, is a bit mad, glaringly obvious and needs to be uncovered.
Q2: If your show walked into a bar, what would it order?
Baby Guinness, because, like the show, it’s layered, a bit dark and packs a surprising punch! But also because its smooth, less than pint-sized and guaranteed to make you giggle…just like me… and like a Baby Guinness, you will want more.
Q3: Is your show the type to leave a toothbrush — or just some wild memories and a dent in the pillow?
Leave? Why? It wouldn’t leave…it would rock up with a suitcase, cook you breakfast, hide your clothes, the usual normal well-adjusted stuff. Then it would name your plants and tell you about it’s past, even the bits it’s just found out. You will tell everyone you meet about it!
Q4: If your show sent a drunk text at 3am, what would it say?
It would be clingy and quirky, like: ‘You up? I’m outside your flat…I can wait another hour, no biggie… ignore my voice notes…and messages…that call from an unknown number was me… Ill call again…actually I’ll just climb in your window… all good… I lost my shoe”.
