Questions answered by Jessica Durand.
Q1: If you could take just one record with you to survive the Fringe — your ultimate comfort, hype, or grounding track — what would it be, and why?
If I’m allowed a whole record I’m going for Strangeways, Here We Come by The Smiths. Does that make me a sad little basic bitch? Maybe. Just one track? ‘I Started Something I Couldn’t Finish’. It’s hype, but it’s also quite sad- exactly the equilibrium I like to tread.
Q2: If your show had a safe word, what would it be? And would it use it?
It would be ‘golly-gumdrops’ and yes I think we would need it a lot.
Q3: How will the audience remember you the morning after?
They should fondly remember the sad girl strip-tease to Olly Murs’ ‘A Million More Years’
Q4: What’s something your show reveals about you that might surprise a date?
I am deeply obsessed with World War One in the way your Dad is obsessed with World War Two. And I’m going to tell him why One is actually much more interesting.
