Q1: If you could take just one record with you to survive the Fringe — your ultimate comfort, hype, or grounding track — what would it be, and why?
Honeysuckle Rose by Willie Nelson! This album is home to “On the Road Again”—which features in the show and very much encapsulates the feeling of the past year. BANGTAIL has toured four countries and 14 cities, and it’s back at fringe for one final ride!
Q2: What moment in your show would your grandma absolutely hate (or absolutely love)?
I would say, dear Barbara, bless your Catholic heart, you would absolutely hate any and all of the following: 1. My real name being Lil Wenker 2. The bit where I simulate sex on stage and orgasm saying “yeehaw” 3. The (IMO tasteful) partial nudity
Q3: If your show had a criminal record, what would it be for?
Being the Baddest Man in Texas. And likely the fact that I (Lil) have stolen so many spoons to create the spurs on my costume.
Q4: How will the audience remember you the morning after?
They’ll remember me by my mustaches — yes, “mustaches” plural. Come see for yourself how many the Baddest Man in Texas can grow! They will very likely also feel intimidated and even seduced by my sheer, unbridled manliness, demonstrated by my rooting and tooting in the show.
