Elf Lyons: Horses is a mesmerising blend of clowning, mime, comedy, and theatre. Elf captivates the audience with her unique show, featuring a cast of mime horses, a moody, plaintive Pegasus, and his mother Medusa (spoiler: not a horse). Horses flows from scene to scene, shifting from verbatim theatre to laugh-out-loud mime and the most bizarre, wonderful audience interactions.
“A mesmerising blend of clowning, mime, comedy, and theatre.”
The true beauty of the show lies in how Elf weaves a poignant thread from her own life through the performance. It’s hilariously funny but also deeply touching. My face hurt from smiling. Elf’s rare talent makes you connect with her mime characters, creating an emotional bond that’s truly special.
Elf’s confidence and fluid movements add an extra layer of enchantment. She’s playful and silly, yet profound, making the show a joyous and emotional rollercoaster. It’s not just about having fun; it’s an experience that leaves you both uplifted and moved.
“Elf’s Horses is a must-see performance, blending humour with unexpected heartfelt moments.”
For me, Elf has a magical, Bowie-like presence that adds an extra sprinkle of charm to the show. Elf’s Horses is a testament to incredible talent which blends humour with heartfelt moments in a must-see performance. Easily one of the best things I’ve seen over my years going to the Fringe.
