The Basement brunch giveaway – WIN a boozy brunch for four!

Image

Mrs QR and I have been firm fans of The Basement since moving to the heart of Broughton 5 years ago. The Mexican-themed bar and restaurant offers a world of sizzling fajitas, gorgeous tacos, and probably the best guacamole in town (it’s made table-side on demand). Just the smell of the place is enough to make your tummy rumble.

My Uncle-in-Law discovered the Basement on his last stay and promptly rejected our hospitality in favour of the Basement’s Margaritas. Which is to say the cocktails are great. Sure, there’s a river of tequila and mezcal running through the drinks menu, but you’ll find something for all tastes. The line-up of draught beer and lager is particularly impressive.

They’ve also just launched a new Boozy Brunch menu served every Sunday from midday to 5 pm. For £35 you get a choice of delicious brunch plates, and 3 drinks (you did notice the ‘Boozy’ part, right?). Just take a look at the menu:

I thought I couldn’t love The Basement more, but I was wrong. To support the independent, local arts journalism of theQR, The Basement team have stumped up an amazing prize for one lucky reader: A Boozy Brunch for 4 people, worth £140! It’s an amazing gesture by this local institution, and theQR couldn’t be more grateful. With the Edinburgh Festival Fringe fast approaching it could be you, and 3 friends having a fiery Mexican feast between shows one hot/rainy Sunday in August.

Let me repeat, you could win a Boozy Brunch for 4 people just for showing theQR a little love, and it couldn’t be easier:
