This Town would be a filter coffee, no frills, but gets the job done. And its affordable!

What brings a nice show like yours to a place like the Edinburgh Fringe?

I’ve never been to The Fringe before, not even as an audience member, so when The Pleasance, Curve Theatre, and Derby Theatre said they would commission the show as part of The Pleasance national partnership scheme, I couldn’t turn down the opportunity. I’ve heard so much about it from almost everyone I have worked with, so it feels almost like a kind of rights of passage.

What do you/your show do to make an audience’s heart beat faster?

Everything we can. This is a ghost story, so if our audiences’ hearts are beating a bit faster, then we’re doing our job right! It’s not full of jump scares, it isn’t that kind of story, it’s about the steady, gradual build of creeping dread and tension – when the main character finally accepts that something supernatural is pursuing him, is it too late to do anything about it? When it all kicks off though, we’ve definitely heard the odd scream!

If you/your show were a school subject what would you/it be and why?

Oh definitely Occult Studies. We all remember that from high school, right?

How do you keep your performances fresh every night?

Part of the fun of performing a ghost story, or ‘horror’ theatre live is that the audience reaction is a big part of it. All being in the room together makes a huge difference – you can hear people’s gasps and exclamations, you can feel the increase in tension, the collective clenching of jaws, hands and buttocks! It’s different every day, so that helps keep the show alive; always gives me chills!

It’s an out there choice but an affogato – strong intense coffee full of bold flavour, but mixed with the sweetness of ice cream! Who doesn’t want coffee and ice cream together?

Our story is a thriller told in real time, so you experience the action unfolding with the characters. It’s got everything from madcap Nicki Minaj dance routines, violent antagonists, to poetic lyrical speeches. It’s a feast for the senses.

What brings a nice show like yours to a place like the Edinburgh Fringe?

We have been to Edinburgh three times already – most recently with the Untapped Award Winning Blanket Ban. We are now back with a hard hitting thrilling piece of new work which wants to spark important political conversation! We love the fringe, the shows, the artists and the people!

OhOh is a clown physicall theatre show. A love story between circus clown and phisicall theatre all in a poetry and a slapstick flow. It s a show without words using the universal language of the body and mimic. A moment of fun poetry acrobatic and universal love, for all people from 7 years old.

Big smiles and a warm feeling in the heart!

Because our show begins with a childhood tragedy, people will think that it is a sad show. It is not. It is one human’s experience on the path to happiness.

What brings a nice show like yours to a place like the Edinburgh Fringe?

The Fringe is a world renowned venue to get plays seen by Audiences that are hungry for new exciting work. Leni’s Last Lament is an entertaining and thoughtful play with cabaret elements that works on many levels. Also very funny. This play could not be more suitable, given the times we’re in – and we’re dying to see how it plays for such an eclectic crowd.

What do you/your show do to make an audience’s heart beat faster?

If I told you it would give away some key surprises, and we wouldn’t want that. But let me say that the Audience is very much in for an unsuspecting ride that is more sinuous than the Loch Ness stretching in the morning before coffee.

What coffee would you/your show be, and why?

Definitely not decaf haha. The show is non-stop associations from a subterranean place of desire and regret.

There is no place more deserving to know the truth behind the most important trial since the invention of law – That time Gwyneth Paltrow went to a court in Utah. After having met with the lawyers on both sides and visited that very court room – we are ready to share this story.

What misconceptions do you think people have about you/your show – would you like to clear them up?

People are coming to our shows just to see me be a blonde, flawless, beautiful, powerful, goopy, queer icon of female sensuality. Whilst that may be true, it’s also worth knowing, though easily forgotten, that Joseph Martin is in the shows too.

Putting them on a ski slope with Gwyneth Paltrow.
