Questions answered by MzKitty.
Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars
Humans are often desperate for affection, attention and approval. My human, the award-winning monologuist Bob Brader, will not need to resort to desperate tactics, because I have graced his Kitty Daddy posters with my gorgeous tuxedo cat self. Why do I have to stay behind in NYC?
Q2: If your show walked into a cocktail bar, what would it order?
Kitty Daddy would order a Cat’s Paw at The Burrow if it was in Edinburgh. In NYC, it would pad into Katana Kitten and order The Cheshire Cat or The Purr-fect Martini, depending on its mood. Personally, I prefer a warm saucer of milk.
Q3: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?
In Cat Cancel Culture, it is verboten to centre a human in stories, because the universe revolves around god-like creatures known as cats. I’ve had to listen to human-centred Kitty Daddy 100s of times in rehearsal and it’s mesmerizing. I’ll even risk getting canceled for it.
Q4: The Fringe is horribly expensive. How are you financing this run? Did you remortgage your house, sell your granny, or start an illicit side hustle?
Bob and Suzanne, my Kitty Mommy, rented me out to this other human for the time they’re in Edinburgh, and apparently, it’s financing BOTH of their productions, because kitties are fucking priceless
