A Fringe Quickie (#417) with ‘Wild Wild Christian’

Questions answered by Simone McAlonen.

Q1: Aside from this Quickie, what is the most desperate marketing tactic you plan on using to get bums in seats this August? 280 chars

Flyering in cowboy-themed lingerie, probably. Or, dressing up as Jesus and telling people whether or not they will be getting into heaven. The fun thing is, both sides of this spectrum relate to my show!

Q2: If your show walked into a cocktail bar, what would it order?

A Long Island Iced Tea because it’s never been drunk before, and it wants something that will get the job done on a budget! Don’t judge!

Q3: Cancel culture has finally come for your show. What sins has it committed?

Heresy is the main offense, but reading a comedic journal entry about 9/11 would probably get me canceled too. Not saying that I do those things in the show at all. Or do I?

Q4: We all have weird pre-performance rituals. What is yours, and how confused would a normal person be if they walked in on you doing it?

I like to read the actor’s prayer (theater nerd alert!) and drink a Celsius Energy Drink, so I have that manic, cracked-out energy people love onstage.
