Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre is set to host the Scottish premiere of the blockbuster art experience, alongside the returning ‘Beyond Van Gogh’, for the festive season.
Edinburgh is set to get a spectacular new festive attraction as two globally acclaimed immersive art experiences arrive at the Royal Highland Centre. The “Beyond Monet” exhibition will make its Scottish premiere at the Ingliston venue, running alongside the hugely popular “Beyond Van Gogh” for a five-week run beginning 29 November 2025.
The event marks the first time producers Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group have staged one of their blockbuster shows in the capital. They are transforming a 10,000sq ft space at the Ingliston venue into a swirling, digital canvas, with the Monet and Van Gogh experiences running on different days.
A 10,000sq ft Journey into Monet’s World
The centrepiece of the visit is the Scottish premiere of Beyond Monet, which celebrates the groundbreaking work of the “Father of Impressionism.”

Using cutting-edge projection technology, the experience breathes life into more than 400 of the French painter’s canvases. Visitors will be surrounded by a spectacular audio-visual journey, walking through his most famous works, including the Poppies and Impression: Sunrise, as well as his iconic Water Lilies series.

The main space is complemented by the “Infinity Room,” an installation inspired by the Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris, which transports visitors inside the paintings themselves to the accompaniment of a moving original score.
Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’ Returns, Plus New ‘Reflection Rooms’
Following a critically acclaimed run in Glasgow in 2024 that attracted 50,000 visitors, Beyond Van Gogh returns, this time to the capital. The experience, which has been seen by seven million people worldwide, immerses audiences in more than 300 of the post-Impressionist’s works, allowing them to wander through living versions of The Starry Night and Sunflowers.

A new feature for the Edinburgh run will be two “reflection rooms” that visitors to both experiences will exit through. Art lovers can wander through “Waterlily Alley”, an enchanting recreation of Monet’s famous Giverny gardens, and a bloom-flanked “Sunflower Alley” paying tribute to Van Gogh. Edinburgh is only the second city to host these new additions.

“Whether you choose to visit Beyond Van Gogh or Beyond Monet – or to experience both – I can guarantee a wonderful day out for all the family. I know it’s going to be a very special festive season at the Royal Highland Centre.”
Beyond Monet and Beyond Van Gogh will be staged on different days at the Royal Highland Centre (EH28 8NB) from Saturday, 29 November 2025, to Friday, 2 January 2026 (closed Christmas Eve and Day).
