£6.50 Fringe Tickets: Assembly Festival Offer for Edinburgh locals


Residents of Edinburgh, the Lothians, Falkirk, and Fife are set to benefit from an exclusive offer at the upcoming Assembly Festival during the 2024 Fringe. With thousands of £6.50 tickets available, locals with an EH, FK, or KY postcode can enjoy over 230 top-tier performances from Wednesday, 31 July to Sunday, 04 August. Assembly Festival 2024: An Unmissable Line-Up

Assembly Festival 2024 promises an impressive array of entertainment, featuring acrobatics, comedy, theatre, children’s shows, and live music. Highlights include the return of Afrique en Cirque, renowned for its stunning acrobatics and celebration of African culture.

Also on the roster is Recirquel: Paradisum, a new show from the internationally acclaimed Recirquel Cirque Danse, and the award-winning Australian circus cabaret, Rouge.

Music enthusiasts can look forward to Camille O’Sullivan’s 20th Fringe performance, an intimate tribute to music legends like David Bowie and Sinead O’Connor. Comedy fans will be thrilled by performances from Jason Byrne, with his show “NO SHOW”, and Adam Hills, returning to the Fringe after a nine-year hiatus with “Shoes Half Full”.

Exclusive Debuts and Returning Favorites

This year’s festival also sees the debut of TikTok sensation Dylan Mulvaney with their show “Dylan Mulvaney: F*g Hag”. Expect their singular mix of Trans and Queer joy to the stage. Fresh from winning the Pinder Prize, Bronwyn Kuss presents her award-winning comedy show “Sounds Good”. Additionally, Takashi Wakasugi offers a unique comedic take on Japanese and Western cultures in “Welcome to Japan”.

Children’s programming includes “Ventriloquist Queen: A True African Queen”, hosted by Her Majesty Queen Angelique-Monet of Eti-Oni, Nigeria. Returning favourites Cartooon!! will once again delight with contemporary Japanese clowning.

Showcasing Scottish Talent

Local Scottish talent is well-represented. ART Award winner Gracie and the Start of the End of the World (again) by Zoë Bullock and Louise Oliver. Elsewhere, national treasure Susie McCabe returns with a new show, “Merchant of Menace”. “Futuristic Folktales at Assembly @ Dance Base” presents a dance performance exploring reproductive justice through a blend of contemporary movement and Scottish Highland dance. Captivate Theatre will perform their celebrated production of “Sunshine on Leith”, and Pretty Knickers Productions will debut their new musical, “Mary, Queen of Rock!”.

How to Access Discounted Tickets

Discounted tickets will be available for purchase from 18 to 25 June via the Assembly Festival website. Eligible residents can log in to their assemblyfestival.com account, select Local Resident tickets, and apply the discount code LOCALS24 at checkout.

Payments must be made with a card registered to an EH, FK, or KY postcode. The offer is limited to two tickets per performance and six per transaction, applicable only to participating shows from 31 July to 04 August.
